Professor, Doctoral Advisor
ZHENG Xi is a Professor of Landscape Planning and Design, doctoral advisor, Vice Dean at School of Landscape Architecture Beijing Forestry University (BFU), His research focuses on theory and practice of landscape architectural and ecological planning and design, landscape architecture as a medium to analyze the ecological adaptability of human settlements, regional landscape system evolution and urbanism, mountain-water urbanism, landscape performance.He got PhD degree of Urban Planning and Design (including Landscape Planning and Design) from BFU, and he was the visiting scholar at Harvard University, Graduate School of Design (2014).
Zheng is deputy chief editor of Journal of Landscape architecture (China), and have been published over 30 essays and articles on his research and teaching in academic journals. He is the secretary general at BFU Beauty China Human Ecological Settlement Institute.
Zheng has taught core Landscape architecture design Studio both undergraduate and postgraduate, while he practiced over 40 projects of landscape planning and design, including waterfront, botanical garden, event landscape, urban park, ecological remediation, etc.
