Recently, in order to thoroughly study and implement the Party's Nineteenth National Congress and the National “Two Sessions” spirit, fulfill the ecological civilization concept of “Beautiful scenery is the gold and silver mines” . A party of 15 people from Flower and Horticultural Party Branch and the National Flower Engineering Technology Research Center of our School ,in cooperation with the Party Branch of Xiangshui Lake in Bohai Township, Huairou District, jointly established the “Armeniaca mume Sieb. Great Wall” theme to conduct research and discussion on the construction of the Party branch, the development of the flower industry and transformation and upgrading.
Members of the branch first conducted detailed investigations on the local plum planting at the Great Wall in Xiangshuihu and the indoor exhibition halls of Mei Flowerpot. They conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on technical issues such as species selection, planting methods, and grafting methods, and exchanged opinions on the use of native plants and landscapes coordination and other aspects and at the same time planted 8 beautiful Mei(Prunus × blireana cv. Meiren), which symbolizes friendship.
During the discussion, Prof. Zhang Qixiang made a report on the theme of "Research Progress in Plum Blossom Breeding", which included the wild resources, variety groups, basic research, new breed cultivation, application forms, opinions and suggestions on building plum landscape in Xiangshuihu scenic spot. He said that our party branch should make full use of the advantages of disciplines and professions, actively play the role of fighting fortresses, implement the "five in one" construction and "five development concepts" to ensure ecological security and drive farmers to become richer. At the same time, he affirmed the success and good development prospects of plum blossom introduction and cultivation in Xiangshuihu scenic spot, and proposed development suggestions according to the characteristics of Xiangshuihu Great Wall Scenic Area. Afterwards, the two sides conducted lively discussions on how to create the scenery of Xiangshuihu Great Wall Scenic Area according to the field investigation.
The representatives of the Branch of Flower and Horticultural Party Branches, Professor Pan Huitang, Professor Liu Yan, and Professor Cheng Tangren of the Party Branch of the Flower Engineering Center made speeches, emphasizing that Party members and comrades must firmly establish the “four consciousnesses” and be “five-hard” to actively carry out joint party building activities，study the standardized construction experience of Xiangshui Lake Scenic Area Party Branch to realize resource sharing and complementing each other's advantages, make good use of the scenic local plant resources and the existing original ecological landscape advantages and resource endowments, clarifying the development orientation of the scenic spot, do top-level design well, and develop a good tourism industry , protect the ecological environment to bigger and stronger "Great Wall backbone, plum style" theme activity brand. The Party Committee of Flower and Horticultural Horticulture and the Party Branch of the Flower Center should promote the integration of basic research and industry relying on party building platforms, take advantage of their talents and technological superiority, and select excellent varieties of cold and hardy plum blossoms and other fine flower germplasm resources to do a full range of support for the construction of Xiangshui Lake Scenic Area and Landscape improvement .
Qin Hongxia, deputy mayor of Bohai Township Government, said that the party committee of Bohai Town had been conscientiously implementing the spirit of the Party's Nineteenth National Congress, playing its role as a party's grass-roots party organization, using its own development characteristics of the industry to promote industrial upgrading, and leading villagers to become rich. There were two aspects belows,which included the forest flower technology as a support to achieve the off-season sales season sales and in accordance with the geographical characteristics of the ancient Great Wall and Xiangshui Lake scenic spot to enhance the added value of cultural tourism. It was hoped that long-term co-construction cooperation among party branches could be established to obtain technical support, and promote industrial development.
The three branches all stated that they must take the opportunity of the construction of the Great Wall Plum Garden to combine the inheritance of culture, the development of industries and the rejuvenation of the countryside,as well as unify the establishment of Beijing Forestry University into a world-class forestry university rooted in China, and the Xiangshui Lake region's agricultural development goals of “strong agriculture,rural beauty, and rich farmers” to promote the establishment of branch offices, resources sharing, and technical cooperation, and jointly write the beautiful era of collaborative innovation and collaborative development in the “political, industrial, academic, and scientific research” of the new era.
