Traditional Chinese Gardens in Suzhou

Abstract: Chinese traditional gardens are classified as private garden, royal garden, temple garden, and Suzhou gardens stand for private garden in the Southern Region of the Yangtze River (Jiangnan) and reach the summit of Chinese ancient gardening. There is a popular saying in China that "the gardens in Jiangnan are the best ones in China, and the gardens in Suzhou are the best ones in Jiangna." Taking the Garden of Humble Administrator (Zhuozeng Yuan), the Lingering Garden (Liu Yuan), the Garden of Master of Fishing Nets (Wangshi Yuan) and Scenery Embraced Mountain Villa (Huanxiu Shanzhuang) as the examples, this paper focuses on applying borrowing scenes as the order of creation, which aims to the means of making traditional Chinese gardens in Suzhou,and hoping to help modern landscape architects.
