The major aims at cultivating talents with advanced skills of planning, design, engineering construction and management to be used in the work of town planning, urban design, urban community planning, urban ecological planning, urban green space system planning, urban park design, urban construction and development, real estate planning, urban municipal engineering planning, and study of relevant policies and regulations. Students will be granted bachelor of engineering after  ve years' study. Drawing skills and imaginal thinking abilities are required for students who apply for this major. Main courses include: Principles of Urban Planning, Urban Planning Curriculum Design, Urban Design, Chinese and Foreign History of Urban Construction, Urban Roads and Transportation, Urban Ecology, Scenic Spot Planning, Municipal infrastructure Planning, Urban Green Space Planning, Architectural Design, and Urban Environmental Planning and so on.

Graduates of this major would be able to enter in the sectors of city planning, urban development, scienti c research, universities, communities, real estate, and they can engage in the work of planning, design, construction, management, teaching and research.
